Market Advisor, Paris (Industrial. Salary: €55,928. Location: Paris. Contract Duration: Full-time. The Irish Government export development agency, Enterprise Ireland (EI), is recruiting a key person to drive the growth in export sales of Irish companies to France. We wish to recruit a Market Adviser (MA) for the Industrial Sectors with a particular focus on supporting the implementation of the Eurozone Strategy, in response to impending Brexit and drive to achieve a 50% (€2bn+) increase in exports into the Eurozone region by 2020. The Market Advisor will work with Irish companies who are already exporting to the Eurozone and develop a process of engagement that will help intensify the scale of their exports into the French Market. The successful candidate will actively promote Irish innovation and sector capabilities to buyers in the Eurozone, in particular throughout the French regions. The person appointed will have commercial experience and understanding of the French Industrial market and procurement processes. They will work with the Paris based French market team and the wider Enterprise Ireland UK-Northern Europe and Ireland-based teams. The successful candidate will be required to initiate and implement a range of sales and marketing-led activities, utilising their consultancy skills and database of market contacts, to identify new business opportunities and facilitate introductions for Irish client companies to achieve sales and export growth into France. They will be required to be extremely results focused and motivated to achieve ambitious targets. Candidates should have a strong understanding of sales and marketing practices that will benefit Irish companies exporting to the French Market. Key Deliverables: Proactively increase Irish exports to France in line with targets agreed with the Overseas Manager France and Director UK-Northern Europe, and implement a range of services and programmes to support Irish company sales activities. Take direct responsibility of a portfolio of agreed client companies targeting the FrenchMarket. Develop and implement sales and market plans with key clients. Work in a co-ordinated and integrated manner with Ireland-based sector and client departments to achieve shared corporate targets. Proactively identify new market opportunities for Irish companies and help them to convert them into sales. Drive export growth by assisting clients with a foothold I the market to expand and further penetrate the market. Develop a strong network of market contacts in the French region and provide a professional product sourcing service to local French buyers. Increase the awareness of Ireland as a strong supply source and facilitate buyer/supplier contacts. Undertake/manage agreed projects for individual Irish client companies. Persuade them at senior level to act on recommendations arising from such projects. Work collaboratively with colleagues within the UK-Northern Europe team, EnterpriseIreland’s global overseas network and those working for Enterprise Ireland in Ireland, in addition to colleagues from other Government agencies and departments such as Industrial Development Authority (IDA) and the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT. Work with Irish based colleagues to engage with clients in collaborative diagnosis of capability across a range of business areas using Enterprise Ireland’s Client Engagement Model, in order to assist companies, build robust scalable business planssuitable for market conditions in the region. Represent Enterprise Ireland in the broader media, business and commercial environment and with the other Irish government agencies in the region, and project a positive image of Ireland as an international supply source. Coordinate #irishadvantage PR Campaign for Paris Office. Functional Competencies: Strong domain knowledge of the strong French Industrial Sectors. Recent commercial/business development experience in French or similar markets. Appreciation of the dynamics of Irish industry preferably with knowledge of Ireland’ssupply capabilities in Industrial Sectors. Strong sales and marketing abilities with a good knowledge of the business methods and sales practices in the French Market. Knowledge of the key players in targeted sectors and up-to-date knowledge andunderstanding of the sectors’ strengths and challenges. Strong database of contacts in the French Industrial Sectors that could be leveraged by Irish companies and an ability to network effectively and to build and maintain effective business relationships. Have strong consulting skills and the ability to assess and challenge business plans forSMEs to help them grow their business in the French Market. Strong project management, planning and administrative skills and a record of achieving targets. A creative self-starter with the ability to innovate and develop new strategies. Results orientation and ‘can-do’ attitude. Ability to influence and build credibility with clients and target companies. Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills. Fluency in English and French is essential. At least 2 years relevant working experience. A relevant third level qualification would be an advantage.
