Convenience Store/Food Outlet Manager - North Dublin City - €50,000 DOE. Symbol convenience store with food outlets is seeking a General Manager that will oversee the rebranding and expansion of this store and its food outlets. We are looking for an experienced Retail Food Manager to lead this fast paced, exciting business to the next level. This is a unique position where you will be heading a medium sized team, with overall responsibility for the daily running of the retail & food outlet business. The successful applicant must be highly driven, mature and motivated to develop the business. IT structure will be to the fore of this store, the client is seeking a Manager that is very savvy on IT, Applications, Systems etc. besides normal POS. They want to introduce cutting technology for ease of stock taking, wastage, customer ordering, scanning etc. so a Manager that is innovative has a good understand of IT and new modern technology is essential for this role. Duties: - Liaise regularly with the associated managers and staff in both on the shop's performance, KPIs and aspects of day to day operations to also include the food outlets. - Responsible for the daily administration tasks completed to Company and legal standards. - Manage a team of 12-25 staff. - Opening and Closing of the business on a rota basis. - Ensure fresh, exceptional quality and accurate food and beverage stock levels available to the customer at all times. - Work closely with the Symbol Group to enhance the product and service offering and to exploit innovation from within the Symbol Group. - Actively manage the sourcing of product from the symbol group and from other suppliers to ensure that margins are maximised. - Ensure that the Symbol Group's Terms and Conditions are adhered to and financial incentives and rebates maximised. - Ensure that concessions operating within the retail outlet are performing at least to expectations. - Closely monitor all areas of operation and address non performing areas quickly. - Closely manage the cost base, including areas such as the staff roster, stock levels and waste to appropriately minimise company costs. - Ensure a safe clean environment available for our staff and customers. - Responsibility for the daily operations and profitability of the business. - Full responsibility for the control environment within the retail outlet including financial, information systems, hygiene, health and safety and other controls within the retail outlet. - Ensure the highest standards of Health and safety are maintained. - Ensure all HACCP procedures and regulations are enforced and adhered to. - Ensure a high level of customer service is offered at all times. Required Skills: - A sound and relevant knowledge of retail food management in a fully operational, 'hands-on' position with a minimum of 3-5 years as a Store/Multi Food Outlet Manager. - Exceptional leadership skills needed to motivate a team in a fast-paced growing business to maintain the Company's high standards. - Appetite for a challenge, matched by the desire to learn and a passion to succeed. - Exposure to branded food outlets is essential. - Strong IT, Applications and Systems is required for this role. - Good H.R. and people management skills and high level of customer service. - Experience in managing a store/food outlets of between 3-4 million turnover. - Flexibility to work varying shift patterns. 5/7 days. - Accurate stock management/ control skills. - Able to interpret P&L Reports and understand the need to meet financial targets set. - Must have a sound understanding of IT. - Exceptional food hygiene standards and a good understanding of Safer Food, Better Business or equivalent. - Full, clean Driving Licence.
