SUMMARY OF ROLE: We are currently recruiting for an experienced Construction Foreman/Carpenter for our. client, a specialist GRP Fabricator & Fitting Company for projects based in Dublin City. Center and surrounding areas. This is a long term contract position with immediate start, with opportunities for progression. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: The role involves supervising small teams of carpenters and labourers on 2-3 sites and. assisting in fitting GRP pre-fabricated packs when required. While the role is primarily. on site management and planning, there is also a need to be able to lead by example in the installation of pre-fabricated kits as required. ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS: • Good people management skills. Strong knowledge of general construction and carpentry; • Experience in reading drawings and marking out for drilling & fixing of platforms, stairs etc.; • Experience in drawing up a schedule of works and planning site work flow; • Experience in setting and meeting realistic work targets; • Strong knowledge of construction site health and safety practices and be health and. safety conscious at all times; • In-date Safepass; • In-date PASMA scaffold ticket (working at heights); • MEWP ticket an advantage; • Must have own tools; • Hardworking, reliable with good common sense, honest and trustworthy. RATE OF PAY: The role is paid €26 per hour. WORKING HOURS: Normally 7am to 4.30pm Monday to Thursday, Friday 7am to 3pm. The person must be flexible. and willing to work additional hours during the week. JOB CODE: QED0042.
