The Garda Síochána Ombudsman Commission (GSOC) is an independent statutory body, established in 2007 under the Garda Síochána Act, 2005, as amended. Its function is to deal with matters involving possible misconduct by members of the Garda Síochána, in an efficient, effective and fair manner. GSOC is currently seeking high-calibre candidates to join their team as: Investigations Officer. The successful candidate will report to and support the Senior Investigations Officer as a member of a team of investigators, and managing Assistant Investigations Officers, inquiring into cases involving criminal and/or disciplinary allegations. S/he will have: • At least two years’ relevant experience of dealing with criminal investigations in a law enforcement service; • A capacity to conduct enquiries, obtain information and use sound judgment to reach conclusions; • Excellent analytical skills.
