Job Summary: The successful candidate will be responsible for the provision of health, safety and environmental advice, information and guidance, ensuring that Company and legislative requirements are implemented fully resulting in Injury and Incident Free Workplaces with zero tolerance towards non-compliances. Main Duties: Ensure implementation of company and legislative EHS requirements throughout Ireland, in all places that the company is undertaking activities. Advise company and project management on all aspects of health, safety and environmental issues. Advise the Managing Director and the Company Safety Manager of all serious accidents and incidents. Compile accident and incident reports. Collate accident statistics and conduct trend analysis reviews. Compile and regularly update EHS procedures, manuals, guidance notes and the like. Undertake risk assessment of office premises and implement requirements. Undertake site risk assessments as required. Ensure all legally required notices and signs are displayed in company premises. Liaise with HSE, Environment Agency or other government appointed body. Conduct site safety and environmental audits. Ensuring that all risk assessments are kept up to date and that the Company. Health & Safety Statements are reviewed annually. Conducting training sessions for management, supervisors and workers on environmental, health and safety practices and legislation. Co-ordinating emergency procedures, fire drills and first aid crews.- Maintaining Material Safety Data Sheet databases for all materials on site. Skill required: Degree or equivalent in Health & Safety. Construction Skills Certification Scheme card holder or equivalent. At least 5 years minimum construction experience. At least 5 years minimum safety management experience. Working knowledge of UK and Ireland safety and environmental legislation. Remain cognizant of EHS legislative changes. Compile all reports and statistical analysis in a timely manner. Compile and update procedures, manuals, guidance notes and the like in a timely manner. Be assertive, fair and consistent when implementing Company or legislative requirements or when reprimanding contractors or individuals. IOSH Membership (Highly desirable.
