This organisation is a large global Financial Services company with over 3,000 employees in Dublin, and delivering financial software products and services to global clients. They currently require a Head of Architecture, reporting directly into the CIO to join a technology division of 150 as part of an independent organisation within the group. This is a pivotal role in shaping the future architecture of the organisation and the products and services it delivers to clients. The Position: Lead this organisation through a major platform & legacy architectural transformation over the next number of years across all facets of Business, Data, Application & Technology Architecture, including major platform consolidation. Design and implement a highly robust long term strategy for delivery of the future state architecture, designing a highly adaptable single framework to enable critical transformation and consolidation of 10 platforms into a single framework/platform. Design the new architectural landscape for this organisation, leading and guiding teams on all major projects to ensure successful delivery. Lead customer and vendor engagement in the development of new products and services to enable key growth and delivery across multiple financial markets. Work closely with key stakeholders in advising best practice, opportunities around new product and service development and ensuring the highest standards are adhered to. Manage a team across technical architecture, solutions design and a large matrixed team in development. The Person: You will have at least 10-12 years in a Senior Architect role, with at least 2-3 years leading architectural environments and designing and leading strategy in your most recent role. You will have led architectural transformation and platform consolidation in previous roles and about ensuring you are up to date on the latest trends, technology and models to ensure the organisation creates the best future state architectural. You will be a clear and concise communicator, with outstanding stakeholder and client management skills with a key ability to effectively translate business requirements into highly successful technical solutions at organisation wide level, including products, services and related architecture. You will have excellent experience with the Microsoft stack (SQL Server, C#, MVC, ASP.NET. You will be degree qualified in a relevant discipline along with other relevant qualifications.
