Feeder Test Engineer - South Dublin

Description

Our client a very well established Manufacturing company are looking for a Feeder Test Engineer to join their team. Role Overview: Reporting into the Assembly/Testing function. This will be primarily based in the assembly area. The Feeder Test Engineer will be responsible validating tooling products on testing machines to ensure fit and functionality of tooling to machine specification & will also be responsible for conducting customer FAT’s by installing and validating tooling products to ensure fit and functionality of tooling to machine and customer specification. Key duties/responsibilities: Validate tooling to project specification as per the production schedule. Works cross departmentally to troubleshoot and resolve fit and functionality issues to meet project deadlines. Conducts customer FAT’s to validate tooling to project specification as per the FAT schedule. Conducts planned preventative maintenance to ensure that all test machines are in running condition at all times. Troubleshoots and repair machinery as necessary. Key Skills and Personal Attributes: Excellent Customer facing skills. Excellent technical problem solving and fault finding skills. Ability to understand electrical and mechanical drawings. Ability to work independently, with minimum direction and in pressure situations. Ability to self-direct and self-motivate. Strong organisational skills. Strong communication skills through generation of reports. The post will require a high level of flexibility to ensure the delivery of an effective and efficient service to Prodieco’s customer base. Experience: Diploma or higher in mechanical engineering or comparable discipline. Minimum of 3 years’ experience with testing and troubleshooting of mechanical systems, preferably in manufacturing industry. Experience with electro/mechanical control equipment.
