Appointment as a Member and as Chairperson of the Company Law Review Group. Member. The Minister for Business, Enterprise and Innovation invites expressions of interest from suitably qualified persons with significant career experience at an appropriately senior level in the field of company law for consideration for appointment as a Member (Ministerial nominee) to the Company Law Review Group (CLRG) for a four-year period from 2018-2022. The CLRG is a statutory advisory expert body charged with advising the Minister for Business, Enterprise and Innovation on the review and development of company law in Ireland. Further information on the work of the CLRG is available on its website http://www.clrg.org. Chairperson. The Chairperson is responsible for the CLRG’s effectiveness in all aspects of its role. The Chairperson chairs the meetings of the Company Law Review Group and works closely with the secretariat (provided by the Department of Business, Enterprise and Innovation) to progress the CLRG Work Programme. Application. The expression of interest from an applicant should include: 1.a cover letter expressing interest; 2.a detailed CV; and. 3.a short statement setting out the applicant’s views in relation to the future development of company law in Ireland. Should a candidate also wish to be considered for appointment by the Minister as Chairperson of the CLRG as well as a Ministerial nominee, this should be explicitly stated in the application. In this event, demonstration of relevant skills such as leadership, good communications and interpersonal skills would be also required in the application.
