Job Specifications. Position: Customer Service Agent. One of Ireland's newest integrated logistics providers is now seeking a Customer Service Agent who will be responsible for providing support in the running of a busy multi-modal transport operation. On a day to day basis, you shall liaise with customers & other departments on all aspects of the operation to ensure customer satisfaction and a high quality of service are maintained at all times. Duties and Responsibilities. Become familiar with assigned clients, including key contacts, unique requirements and operating processes, Capture import & export booking/pick-up details and instruct operating branches that shipments are awaiting processing, Respond to customer’s issues where possible by telephone & email or escalate to your line manager, Assist with the day-to-day performance reporting of agreed customer KPIs and SLA’s, Data entry of proof of delivery information from drivers and 3rd party sub-contractors where required, Ensure all enquiries are investigated, resolved and answered promptly within the Customer Service guidelines provided by your line manager, Monitor service and service metrics, including EDI transmissions, and investigate service issues proactively, working with the appropriate teams to implement solutions and communicate them to the client, Requirements. A minimum of 2 years previous experience working within a transport, freight forwarding or haulier organisation. Excellent organisational skills, Communication skills, Experience in a role involving extensive customer contact, Good Problem-Solving skills, Basic/Intermediate skills in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint, Salary: €DOE.
