Production Manager. Dublin. Based within the Dublin manufacturing facility, your role will be part of the Topicals Bulk Business Unit, you will be supporting a variety of key areas onsite. You will be working across cross-functional teams with a high-level of autonomy. Key Responsibilities include: • Manage, organise and continuously improve the performance of the Bulk operations through relentless application of lean manufacturing principles. • Provide strong leadership and coaching so that all business unit personnel actively support activities that improve performance. • Deliver production targets within budget and on time. • Comply with Health & Safety, Environmental and cGMP regulations and company standards. Continuously improve GMP compliance and benchmark against current industry trends and trends in GM guidelines. Develop a safety first culture within bulk operations. Work relentlessly to fix safety risks. • Continuously improve the Bulk cost structure including identifying cost containment projects so that a lean operation develops and the company becomes a world-class supplier of topical products. • Identify and react to capacity constraints through capacity constraint modelling. Alleviate bottlenecks by strategically identifying key capital investment projects. • Continuously review and integrate production, maintenance and warehousing activities so that a cohesive outcome-focused business unit emerges, delivering performance and efficiency. • Improve customer service by providing a more responsive and flexible offering. • Drive improvements in quality systems and foster a right-first-time approach to Bulk manufacture. • Contribute actively to cross-departmental projects and initiatives so that a high-performing operations team emerges. • Liaise with our Manufacturing, Science and Technology department so that new topical products and processes are transferred from Pharmaceutical Development in a fast and professional manner. • Liaise with the Human Resource Department to enhance the industrial relations climate in the facility and foster a “can do” attitude at all levels on site. • Provide strong leadership and coaching so that all business unit personnel actively support activities that improve performance. Develop and put in place systems to measure team performance and individual performance. • Drive improvements in quality systems and foster a right-first-time approach to production. Interested applicants should have: • Honours degree or post-graduate qualification in life sciences or engineering. • Experience in a general pharmaceutical manufacturing environment, have a structured approach to implementing improvements and skilled in project management. • Ideally Lean Six Sigma qualified to a black belt level. • Previous experience in the supervision of personnel is necessary. • He/she will have a demonstrated track record in the delivery of goals and improvements. • He/she will have experience of working to tight deadlines. Furthermore, you should possess the following competencies/skills: • Cross-functional/ team-working. • Leading change and driving improvement. • Influencing others. • Self-starter, take initiative , work with minimal guidance and drive progress. • Excellent interpersonal & communication skills. • Presentation skills.
