Our Client is a Global Logistics company now looking for a General Manager for there Life Science and HealthCare division based in Dublin North. Responsible for the management and development of a newly established Life Science operation, licensed to GDP (Good Distribution Practice) and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) standards. To plan, co-ordinate and manage the contract/operational teams by providing effective communication, leadership, motivation, training and development to ensure operational and contractual service standards are both met and exceeded at all times. To interface daily with the customer and be pivcotal in selling the facility and services to future pipeline clients, leading any strategic change management and continuous improvement initiatives. Job Requirements: Responsible for management of warehouse colleagues, including the scheduling of contracted hours, monitoring performance and improving productivity and delivering the site P&L. Assist in preparationof warehouse budget, monitor performance, identify trends and driving improvements throughout the year. Develop good working relationships with customer management, ensuring operational service levels are achieved and a high level of customer care is maintained. Ensure that regular training and development reviews are carried out with all warehouse staff for all contracts and that appropriate cover is identified and achieved. Handle all disciplinary and grievance issues up to and including dismissal, seeking advice as appropriate. Liaise with transport providers (combination of "in-house" and third party) to ensure timely in-take and despatch of product, translating transport schedules into operational and labour plans. Be responsible for maintaining excellent Health & Safety standards within the warehouse operation, conducting full detail investigations into all incidents, accidents and near miss issues. Manage labour pool to ensure availability of GDP trained staff and cost effectiveness of operations and ability to handle fluctuation in volumes. Essentials: Previous Lifesciences Supply Chain Experience (5-10 years. Supervisory Operations Management Experience. Understanding of Health and Saftey Legislation. Working in a service critical patient centric pharmaceutical healthcare supply chain environment. Experience of working in a quality driven supply chain environment for life sceinces clients. Experience of HPRA (or equivalent) regulations and requirements. Experience of using LMS and forecasting tools. Experience of managing high value and temperature sensitive pharmaeucitcal goods. Experience of working within matrix organisation or teams with business development and project implementation experience. Excellent salary and package on offer for the right candidate!
