As a Purchasing Assistant will be responsible for learning company purchasing policies and procedures, and maintaining supply inventory levels required for effective company operation. Your new role will involve : Maintain strong working relationships with our vendors. Review purchasing agreements with vendors and maintain open lines of communications with those vendors. Manage the process for supply inventory and determining purchasing needs based on quarterly and annual numbers. Stay up to date with industry trends and establish long-term purchasing arrangements with vendors when it is beneficial to the company. Compare product deliveries with issued purchase orders and contact vendors when there are discrepancies. Handling all areas of the delivery and follow up for all customers. Processing PO and invoicing for supplier and customers. Providing assistance and support to the sales team when required. General ad-hoc accounts assistance. What we are looking for : A minimum of 2-3 years' experience in a purchasing role in a busy environment. Strong Interpersonal and communication skills. Experience in supply chain position is desirable. IT proficient in all areas of Microsoft , SAP experience is an advantage. Proven track record for strong negotiation skills preferred. Flexible and willingness to learn. This is initially a 6month contract position full time 8am-5pm Monday to Friday in a small office environment. Interviews available immediately.
