A permanent post is on offer for a Senior social worker to promote a zero tolerance of abuse, coordinate Childrens First legislation and manage a caseload as per department and service requirements. Responsibilities: Ensure designated officers of Childrens First are implementing role and responsibility. Attend multi-disciplinary case reviews and meetings where required. Link individuals with the services appropriate to their needs and advocate on their behalf. Carry out home visits where necessary. Facilitate case conferences for individuals with complex needs with TUSLA. Chair Childrens First committee and ensure all residential settings and day services are aware of Childrens First protocols and reporting legislative requirements. Review, monitor and coordinate information relating to safe guarding children, including information on notifications to HIQA, TUSLA and the HSE. Requirements: Possess a National Qualification in Social Work. Experience working with TUSLA and the implementation of childrens first policy would be strongly desired. CORU registration. Full clean driving license and access to a car. An in-depth knowledge of the HIQA Standards and Health Act. Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.
