Our client, a multinational company based in Dublin City Centre are looking for a savvy Entity Accountant to join their team! As an Entity Accountant, you will play a vital role in supporting and delivering the objectives of the company. You will be responsible for the financial reporting of revenue and expenses of a portfolio of entities across Europe, Middle East and Africa region (EMEA). You will have the opportunity to lead and manage impactful global and cross-functional projects. As a well-rounded financial advisor you will guide the business to mitigate risk, optimize resource allocation and help build the financial infrastructure to scale the business. Responsibilities: Responsibility for overseeing the annual statutory financial statements process, including management of the external audit and tax compliance for a portfolio of Alphabet entities in EMEA. Perform regular in­depth analysis on the financials, ensuring the integrity and financial accuracy of the company books and records. Manage the delivery of accounting processes performed by external vendors ensuring that all service levels are met, the internal control environment is robust and a quality service is provided. Represent AFO with the companies key business partners through effective communication with in­country business managers, US Controllers, Technical Accounting, Tax, Treasury, Legal, Regulatory Compliance, Internal Audit and Financial Planning. Develop in­depth knowledge of tools and applications in support of the accounting function and highlight opportunities for improvement, managing projects that will yield efficiency through automation, optimization and outsourcing. Minimum Qualifications: Degree in Finance or Business preferred. Professional qualification CIMA / ACA / ACCA. Preferred Qualifications: Industry and MNC experience highly regarded. Previous Shared Service Center experience or experience within a company dealing with varied European Subsidiaries an advantage. Must be able to demonstrate a solid understanding of accounting principles, including US. GAAP and related international accounting standards. Technical accounting or Tax Compliance experience is an advantage. Ability to foster and thrive in an environment of continuous process improvement. Knowledge of Oracle or similar ERP system.
