Looks good so far, but what would my day-to-day look like in this role? Owning and resolving customer issues and bugs in a timely manner. Log all customer interaction in the company’s issue tracking system. Ensure response and resolution of issues within the SLA. Spot trends in customer issues and bugs to report back to development and DevOps teams. Consult with the product teams on complex issues. Assist in the maintenance of hosted customer applications. Provide on-call support as per rota. Great, now what should my profile look like in order to be considered? Bachelors’ Degree in Computer Science, Electronic Engineer or similar. Previous (2-3) years’ experience in customer support using email, chat and phone, relating to software products. Knowledge of customer support tools like BMC RemedyForce or similar. Ability to explain technical issues and direction to non-technical users. Good working knowledge of both Windows and Linux OS and DB technologies. Familiarity with XML and SQL for scripting. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Sounds like a fit! Now what else do I need to know?
