School Bus Escort

ABACAS Special School, Kilnamanagh require a school bus escort to accompany a pupil or pupils on specialised bus transport from their homes to and from the school. The bus escort must be available in the mornings from approximately 8.00am to 9. 30am (school starts at 9.20) and from 2.00 pm to 4.00pm (school finishes 3pm) throughout the school calendar year. Escorts must have their own transport to and from drop-off point (Clonskeagh area). The person must have a caring disposition. Experience in working with children with intellectual disabilities and Autism Spectrum Disorders is desirable. Candidates need to be able to deal with parents and school staff in a professional way- may need to communicate regarding pick ups/drop offs, illnesses, traffic delays etc. Appointment is subject to garda vetting and appropriate character references. Hourly rate of pay is €13.60 including holiday pay. Escorts are not paid during school holidays. Wages are paid on a monthly basis.
