MANAGER - SKILLS AND LABOUR MARKET RESEARCH UNIT (SLMRU. REF: 195. SOLAS is the Further Education and Training Authority in Ireland, tasked with ensuring the provision of 21st century programmes within further education and training that are responsive to the needs of learners and the requirements of a changed and changing economy.  Its mission is to fund, co-ordinate and monitor a range of further education and training (FET) provision that supports this vision. SOLAS is seeking to recruit a Manager for its Skills & Labour Market Research Unit (SLMRU. The Manager will lead the work of the SLMRU and will contribute to the forecasting and analysis of skills and labour market trends which underpins the Further Education and Training Strategy. The unit publishes research and reports, including labour market data and analyses that facilitate the development and review of policy and practice in the further and higher education sectors, as well as other related sectors. The Manager will work closely with the data analytics and strategy and evaluation units under the Director of Strategy, Research and Evaluation to ensure a coherent and consistent approach to research and analysis across the organisation which can underpin the future development of FET strategy and provision.
