Technical Architect, Applications & Infrastructure, Park West, D12 - €80-€90K + Benefits. Our client a global retailer and currently seeking a Technical Architect to join their team. Sitting across both Applications & Infrastructure the primary role of the Technical Architect is to align the IT architecture with the business strategy and operational requirements. Apart from a high level of technical skills, the Technical Architect will also need well-developed communications skills. RESPONSIBILITIES. Translation of company and business needs into system requirements. Work with the business to ensure solutions meet requirements. Analysis, design and development of IT systems road map and implementation based upon a current vs. future state technologies. Own the creation of detailed system and design documentation. Gather and analyse data and develop architectural requirements at project level. Work with the Project Management Office (PMO) on the delivery of solutions and projects. Work with vendors and support partners to ensure quality delivery of solutions and services. Management of system standards, hardware and software. Technical authority for the architecture, implementation and on-going administration of system, network, security and Cloud technologies. Provide third level IT technical support to project/operations. Work with the Information Security team to ensure IT security and risk compliance. Work with the IT function to drive efficient technology and standard architecture. Ownership and development of business continuity and disaster recovery processes within the IT function. Qualifications & Experience. Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience. A minimum of 10 years of professional experience. A minimum of 3 years in the role as an Infrastructure Architect. Relevant industry qualifications e.g. Togaf, Zachman. Experienced with delivery of complex B2B, B2C and B2E solutions. Experienced with multi-layered network engineering design and implementation. Ability to analyse, use structured problem solving and available tools to troubleshoot systems, identify root causes as well as develop action plans, impact and resolution options.
