Centrica Digital Technology Services are recruiting for an experienced Lead Solution Architect to join their Digital Enterprise Systems Design team based in Dublin, Ireland. As the successful applicant you will fulfil a key and multidimensional role. You will be the focal point for the delivery and assurance of solution design into Centrica's Bord Gais brand. This will involve you leading the creation of designs that deliver to the defined business outcomes of the business and technology strategy/roadmap and also supervising/assuring the work of the rest of the design team based in Ireland. Your designs will be based predominantly around the Oracle Customer Care and Billing platform but will exist in a diverse multichannel environment. As such whilst Oracle CC&B is the key application experience required, as the successful applicant you will bring with you experience of designing solutions within a highly integrated diverse systems landscape. This role has high visibility within the organisation and as such you will have demonstrable experience of stakeholder management at senior levels. Key Accountabilities. Provide subject matter expertise on Oracle Customer Care and Billing. Leadership, motivation and assurance of a small team of Solution Architects engaged in the undertaking of the production of Solution Designs. Leadership of solution design activities at an end to end level, leveraging the capabilities of the architecture to drive value generation within the organisation. Driving proactive proposals on the best use of technology to drive innovative solutions to key business issues. Accountability for the viability of proposed solutions and providing direction, advice and guidance on the approach to the solution throughout the project. Leading discussion with key business stakeholders to ensure solution options provide the best fit against outcomes and budget. Identification of commercial impacts of decisions involving design, and engagement of the appropriate stakeholder in order to reach a sound commercial outcome. Performing a design authority role on projects ensuring that the detailed designs and solutions delivered align to the solution architecture, managing and resolving any design issues as they arise. Working closely with external suppliers to ensure that the appropriate technology direction is set with respect to systems, data and technical infrastructure. Knowledge, Skills and Experience. Must be experienced and accomplished at communicating at the highest levels of stakeholders. Will demonstrate exceptional leadership in all activities undertaken in the execution of their duties. Must have extensive proven experience in Solution Architecture. Will have proven experience of designing solutions across multiple technologies and systems. Must have the aptitude and ability to rapidly amass knowledge on topics that aren't familiar to them. Must be comfortable having robust discussions in the pursuit of delivering standard solutions. Must be comfortable and effective in managing conflicts arising from differing expectations set by business requirements and IS strategy. Will be comfortable in assurance of solutions at varying levels, including designs by 3rd parties and development colleagues. Our Values. care | delivery | collaboration | agility | courage.
