Reporting to a Senior Legal Advisor, the Legal Advisor is a middle managerial role responsible for providing legal advice, analysis and support, under the direction of the Senior Legal Advisor, across all areas of the DPC. The Legal Advisor will play an important role, as part of a team, in advising on the application of national and EU law and on the exercise of the DPC’s statutory functions and powers, including in relation to the conduct of enforcement actions and litigation involving the DPC.   Successful candidate(s) will be admitted and enrolled as a Solicitor or Barrister in the State and will have experience of providing high quality legal advice, managing multiple projects, working under pressure and to tight deadlines. They will also have experience of advising on privacy and data protection matters in the private and/or public sectors together with knowledge of Irish constitutional / administrative law and EU law.
