Packaging Laboratory Supervisor - Dublin. The overall objective of the Packaging Laboratory Supervisor will be to review testing and support release of packaging components supporting a wide range of areas including manufacturing of finished products. Testing and review will be performed in accordance with Laboratory procedures and work schedules, maintaining quality, safety and cost standards within planned delivery schedules. One of the main responsibilities of the role will be to proactively drive delivery of the departmental and company objectives and goals which include cross-functional initiatives associated with e.g., new product introduction, real time release and LEAN. The company plan requires that the site further improves customer focus, cost effectiveness and is performance driven, flexible and scalable. Key responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following: • Supervision of the Packaging Laboratory including work schedules, personnel recruitment, safety, training and development of laboratory technicians. • Communication – run daily board meetings, monthly team briefs, monthly CI meetings. • Preparation and maintenance of Laboratory documentation including test methods, procedures and specifications. • Planning - review and approval of packaging components for finished products in line with finished product schedule requirements. • Housekeeping - Laboratory equipment and system management and maintenance. • Monitoring and reporting of quality performance KPI's. • Packaging complaint processing and provide support for supplier quality. • Component/process/system/procedure improvement projects. • Providing packaging expert support for NPI, process change control, deviation assessment and internal and external audit participation. Interested applicants should have: • A minimum of a third level qualification in a science discipline. • At least two years' experience in a quality or production function within the Pharmaceutical Industry, preferably at supervisory level. • A good knowledge of GMP, Laboratory systems and controls.
