The Role. As Fresh Food Manager you will bring a real passion for food and customer service to this role with an emphasis on driving and managing your large team of skilled assistants. You will be required to assist in the smooth and efficient running of our very busy Fresh Food Department which consists of the Deli, Butchery and Bakery Departments. Requirements. Provide an exceptional standard of customer care. Ensure full compliance with all food hygiene policies and HACCP requirements. Present the Fresh Food Area to an excellent standard. Maximise sales and margin while minimising waste. Provide Fresh Food training as appropriate. Ensure Fresh Food standards and offerings are consistently improved. Conduct stock takes. Ensure all departments runs efficiently and smoothly. Manage and drive promotions. Ensure compliance with Health & Safety requirements. Responsibilities. The ideal candidate will possess some of the following key attributes: Flexible with at least 2 years proven ability in managing all aspects of fresh food departments. Excellent knowledge of HACCP with relevant qualifications. Excellent numerical ability and attention to detail with a proven track record in achieving agreed targets. Self - motivated and committed to continually improving standards. Excellent commercial acumen with the ability to anticipate and react to market changes and consumer needs.
