Contracts -Legal Executive, Dublin 2 - Contract/ Permanent. Salary: €42,000 with permanent benefits to include with 29 days holidays, pension etc. Terms and Conditions: Initial 5 year fixed term contract. Working within the Finance and Corporate Services department of a major Statutory body, you will be responsible for the co-ordination and standardising of legal and contractual arrangements , drafting contracts and ensuring that the contracts management process operates efficiently and effectively. You will also assist in managing the end to end procurement process from initial review of Request for Tenders through to issuing of contracts. Experience in a customer service role together with understanding of contract management, information compliance and procurement will be essential. Main Roles – there are two main areas of responsibility. Contract Management. Develop and manage the implementation of contract frameworks, policies, procedures and training. Ensure regular evaluation of contract performance and prepare reports on contract activity. Prepare reports on contracts activity. Coordinate and manage timelines for grant appeals submitted to the authority. Work with the procurement executive to ensure that the contract register is kept up to date. Legal advisory. Provide advice on Corporate Governance, Standards in Public Office, Ethics etc and drive a compliance culture across the Organisation. Ensure internal policies and procedures meet with compliance obligations. Assist in coordination with legal advisors to support all business functions and management. Advise on capacity, consent and confidentiality requirements. Provide reports to management, Audit Committee and Board in regard to information compliance, contractual arrangements and governance matters. Assist in research and analysis on a broad range of legal issues. Assist in the preparation of appropriate Audit Documentation. Essential Qualifications and Experience. Experience of working in the areas of contract management, information compliance and procurement across the public sector, academia or industry. Strong understanding of legislation and legal practices in contracting and procurement arrangements. Experience of working in a customer service role. A good knowledge of Corporate Governance, Standards in Public Office, Ethics or other corporate statutory requirements. A degree or equivalent professional qualification in a relevant area would be very useful. Detailed knowledge of contractual arrangements and public procurement rules in the EU. Minimum of three years’ experience of working in a Corporate Governance or contract management – related area (can include post-graduate studies. A strong background in contract management.
