The Department of Communications, Climate Action and Environment plays a key strategic role in Ireland’s long term economic and social development. The National Cyber Security Centre is part of the Department, and is responsible for leading in the management of majorcyber security incidents, providing guidance and advice to citizens and businesses,and managing cyber security related risks to key services, including Government and critical infrastructure. It is also the National Competent Authority for the purposes of EU Directive. 2016/1148 of 6 July 2016 on Network and Information Security. The Department has vacancies for Cyber Security Specialists (Compliance) to fulfil key roles within the National Cyber Security Centre with regard to assessing and assisting in the development of measures to build and improve compliance frameworks and assessment criteria. Reporting to senior management within the department, Cyber Security Specialists (Compliance) will play a lead role in a cross departmental, cross agency team of network and information security experts. Successful candidates will have a qualification in Cyber Security or ICT audit; experience of working in the information technology area, preferably with experience of cyber security or information systems compliance; a track record of achieving results and a proven ability to. troubleshoot technical issues and mitigate risks at a senior level.
