Long established, South Dublin based freight forwarder now seeks to hire a European Freight Coordinator. The company specialise in weekly full and part load freight to/from Europe as well as Ocean and Air Freight services. This position would suit an experienced road freight forwarder looking for an alternative to the large multinational 3PL as the client is a small, owner-managed operation where each member of the team is valued and respected for their contribution to the companies success. There is a flat management structure with direct access to decision makers. The company are focused on delivering an exceptional customer experience and have long-standing customer relationships as recognition of this commitment. Summary Key Accountabilities: Planning and executing full and part load movements to/from Europe. Scheduling collections and deliveries with haulage partners and agents. Moving both hazardous and non-hazardous cargo. Proving quotations. Completing files including registering accruals, invoice matching, client invoicing etc. Building and maintaining client relationships. Dealing with queries promptly and escalating issues to management where applicable. Compiling reports as required. Education, Skills & Experience; A minimum of three years’ experience in European Road Freight Forwarding. An appropriate professional qualification in Freight or Logistics is desirable. Proven desk management and coordination skills. Strong communication skills with an ability to multitask. Possess a high level of expertise in solving scheduling logistics and expediting problems. High levels of flexibility and ability to adapt quickly to changing customer demands. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Proficient in Microsoft Office (e.g., Excel, Word, and Outlook. Terms: Full time, permanent. Package: €30-40k.
