Leading Financial Services group in Dublin are looking for a mortgage underwriter to join their team on a 12 month contract with a view to extension. Responsibilities. Assess and recommend credit applications that qualify as prudent mortgage lending, ensuring timely turnaround of assessment, in line with the Banks prevailing Mortgage Lending Policies, processes and procedures. Provide a professional lending service while applying appropriate and effective credit governance / standards. Establish and maintain a direct relationship with the business areas on lending propositions in order to provide structured and tailored advice. Requirements: 3 years' experience in mortgage underwriting. Be solution focused with strong interpersonal and negotiating skills. Have an ability to interpret and understand complex credit cases.
