Conference and Banqueting Manager. We at Astoria Partnership are currently recruiting for a Conference and Banqueting Manager for this beautiful 4 * Property in West Dublin/Kildare. The property is approx 20 minutes from West Dublin. ________________________________________________________________________ Primary Objective Of Position: Lead and develop the Conference Team, implement continues improvement plans, liaise with customers and clients, ensuring the efficient running of the department. Commitment To Excellence: Ensure that the hotel guest's comfort, satisfaction and well- being is catered for in a friendly, helpful, efficient and personalised. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: " The Conference and Banqueting Manager will lead the department and is responsible for the success of each function. " Ensure a pro-active approach to guest service is instilled within the department. " Continuously seek to maintain & update knowledge and professionalism in own job function. " Assist in the development of the food & beverage offering, whilst improving the service standards for both meetings and banquets. " Carry out Duty Management. SALES: " Attend weekly BEO meetings. " Seek actively to interact with existing, potential and new clients inside and outside the hotel. " Pass on any sales leads to the Sales team. STOCK CONTROL / FINANCE: " Ensure all functions and meetings are billed correctly. " To conduct regular inventories of stock, glassware & other supplies and ensure tight control of these items. " Plan rosters in accordance with business levels and the budget. " Ensure the department is working to hotel budgets with regards to staffing, liquor, food, crockery, stationary and other costs. HUMAN RESOURCES: " Utilise leadership skills and motivation to maximise employee productivity and satisfaction. " Attend weekly head of department meeting; and ensure that all staff are briefed on these. " Ensure all staff are fully briefed on each event. " Training, supervise, motivate and develop relevant staff. " Ensure all departmental team members adhere to the uniform standards. " Ensure departmental files are maintained, ensuring all documentation is up to date, especially holiday, health and safety, and training file. " Monitor department's overall service, interaction with other departments and team work daily and take action to improve. " Screen, interview and selection potential employees in conjunction with the Human Resource Manager. " Work closely with the Human Resource Manager in relation to employee relations. SECURITY, HEALTH & SAFETY: " Report any defects, damage, theft, breakages or hazards, so ensuring equipment is functioning and well maintained. " Conduct daily inspections of the conference and banqueting facilities to ensure the facilities kept in the best condition. Recommend preventative maintenance to the maintenance manager. " Secure the company's stock and property, and ensure all keys are included in the hotel key system. " Ensure the department's maintenance and cleaning schedule is adhered to, ensuring all work surfaces, shelves, floors, walls, sinks, cupboards etc are cleaned to a high standard. " Adhere to all regulations in respect of health and safety. REQUIREMENT. " Experience in a Management role in Leading Hotel. " Attention to detail. " Previous Management of a large Department.
