Our Client is Dogs Trust Ireland. Dogs Trust arrived in Ireland in 2005, and is Ireland’s largest dog welfare charity. Dogs Trust`s mission is to bring about the day when all dogs can enjoy a happy life, free from the threat of unnecessary destruction. To help support them in their work they requires a Data Analyst for a permanent role. The role you will provide a comprehensive, customer-focused and commercial service to the organisation. This role will combine database management and a commercial analytical approachThe role is to provide comprehensive and accurate data support for the fundraising team and enhance fundraising performance through analysis of trends and campaign performance, making timely recommendations for action as appropriate. This position will play a key role in long term planning and implementation of fundraising and donor development programmes across multiple channels. You will be responsible for all data management relating to fundraising campaigns as well as managing ad-hoc reporting requests across Dogs Trust. Your job will involve analysis, reporting and targeted data segmentation for all fundraising campaigns and activities with a view to maintaining donor loyalty, reducing attrition, and increasing voluntary income for our lifesaving work. Responsibilities will include: Managing the data held within the firm’s CRM database and resolving contact information discrepancies. Managing the ongoing administration of the database including the integrity of the data. Ongoing maintenance and special projects. Providing advisory and training support to all members of the firm in relation to the effective use of the database. Keeping abreast of updates and best practice in relation to InterAction and data management generally, and making recommendations to the firm accordingly. Assisting the Business Development and Marketing teams in the implementation of business development and marketing initiatives and activities. Providing accurate and timely reporting and analysis. Ensuring best client data capture and integration with firm’s systems and other data projects. Duties. To provide clear, accurate and detailed data analysis and evaluation reports on all fundraising activities. To provide detailed, consistent KPI reports and statistics on donor numbers and income for the Fundraising and Management team. To provide detailed attrition reports and provide statistical analysis to identify trends in donor behaviour and opportunities to improve future fundraising campaigns and strategies. To provide SQL maintenance using our statistical software system, including the set up and maintenance of templates, tasks and variables to meet reporting requirements. To support the Fundraising team with data segmentation, targeting and extraction of data for marketing activities. Define and produce data segmentation for direct mail, email communications and other campaigns and manage mailing history for each campaign for analysis purposes. To set up a suite of reports, queries, exports and dashboards to be used by members of the Fundraising Department and suppliers including pre and post campaign analysis as required. To manage the administration and analysis of our consent/contact preference system and software. To develop database import specification documents, set up new suppliers and campaigns in CRM system. Set up data files and manage the importing of data and amendments to data files. Create and manage all source codes for the charity in our CRM system and consent management software. To work with the Fundraising team and other teams to ensure data is comprehensive, accurate and clean before and after entering the CRM database. To analyse, recommend, test, and implement data structure changes as necessary and provide recommendations on best practice recording and reporting. To work with the Fundraising Manager to liaise with external agencies and manage agency relationships where necessary. To keep up to date on data and data protection developments and best practice measures within the charity sector. To provide ongoing database system training and support for all CRM users as required; ensuring that the database is used efficiently and correctly and develop guidelines for processes for colleagues and users to follow. To request and manage improvements and upgrades to systems as appropriate. To assist the Fundraising Team with answering of calls and general administration duties and dealing with face to face, telephone, and written enquires, requests and ad hoc donations. The successful candidate will be/ have: A minimum of 2 years’ CRM experience to an advanced level. A minimum of 2 years’ experience using data exploration, analysis, data modelling and visualisation software to an advanced level. Working knowledge of Faststats desirable. Extensive practical SQL experience and proven experience dealing with unstructured data. Third level qualification with focus on numerical/ statistical components ideal or recent relevant experience gained either in the corporate or voluntary sector an advantage. Extensive experience of setting up and producing data selections for marketing purposes. Extensive experience setting up and managing different types of reports that measure key performance indicators, campaign results etc. Experience identifying trends and patterns in data and then translating findings so they can be applied to real business situations. Equally, the ability to translate business requirements into data solutions. Experience of setting up and producing letter/form matrices in CRM database (for example fulfilment letters and emails, SEPA letters etc.) A minimum of 1 year experience in a fundraising/marketing environment beneficial. Extensive experience using Microsoft Office programs, including advanced level use of Excel. Good knowledge of Irish Data Protection Legislation an advantage. Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills. Strong administrative skills. Ability to plan and prioritise workload. Ability to work alone and as part of a team. Good telephone manner. Good written and oral skills. Confident communicator. Flexible, team focused attitude. A full, clean driving license is also essential.
