JOB TITLE: Junior Water Networks Designer, Water Services Division. REF. NO: J4499. REPORT TO: Associate /Director. LOCATION: Dublin. We have career opportunities for Junior Water Networks Designers who will contribute as key members of our Water Services Division in Dublin (within a specific project team). The successful candidates will assist in the delivery and management of projects for key public and private sector clients in Ireland. The Role: Secondment to IW Programme management team. Contribute as part of multi-disciplinary design team in the delivery of infrastructure particularly for Irish Water. Provide high quality service to our Clients in the Public and Private Sectors. Act as designer or design reviewer. Responsible for quality of deliverables and meet project goals. Liaise with a broad range of clients and engage in development of client relationships. Prepare excellent technical reports and presentations for internal and external use. Enhance company reputation by taking ownership over new and diverse client requests/challenges; proactively explore opportunities to add extra value to job accomplishments. The Candidates will ideally have: Level 8 degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical Engineering or related discipline. A post graduate degree would be advantageous. Minimum of 2 years` experience in the design, procurement and/or contract supervision of water services projects. A track record in the delivery of water network projects. Experience in water conservation, DMA design and establishment, leakage control, pressure management, network management and watermains rehabilitation would be advantageous. Working knowledge of typical contract forms. Track record of leading or working in design teams and working as part of both Employer-led and Contractor-led design teams. Contractor design review experience beneficial. Team Player with excellent communication skills (both written and verbal), team working skills and analytical skills. Ability to lead and motivate themselves and others; willingly takes ownership of issues and seeks team participation to achieve best solution. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and make recommendations. Ability to devise new approaches to problems encountered. Excellent IT skills, familiar with relevant computer applications (MS Word and MS Excel in particular, MS Project desirable) and simulation software.
