As a kitchen porter you will be required to complete the menial tasks in a kitchen including duties such as cleaning, washing up and basic food preparation. If you are looking for a job and don't mind hard work, the role of the kitchen porter could be ideal. This is especially the case if you are efficient and hygienic. Your day-to-day duties include: unloading deliveries. organising the storeroom. collecting and washing pots, pans, plates and cutlery. getting pots, pans plates and cutlery back into use quickly. washing and disinfecting kitchen appliances, work surfaces, floors and walls. making sure kitchen equipment is properly stored. removing and recycling waste from the kitchen. basic food preparation. Skills you'll need: the ability to carry out tasks quickly. the ability to work on your own and use your initiative. the ability to remain calm under pressure. the ability to follow instructions. Requirements: Excellent English both written and verbal. Valid work permits to work full time in Ireland with no restrictions. Manual Handling and Food Safety Certificates. Salary: 9.55 e per hour.
