Our client, an Irish Luxury Goods Retailer, are seeking a qualified Accountant to join their team. The Role. The key responsibilities for this role are to: Manage the Capex budget with responsibility for fixed asset accounting on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis. Be responsible for preparing and submitting the monthly group finance Capex report. Manage insurance accounting liaising with group finance and legal on annual calculations. Hold overall responsibility for intercompany accounting and managing group relationships on an ongoing basis. Balance Sheet reconciliation with responsibility for allocated balance sheet accounts. Assist on all internal/external reporting requirements including monthly management meetings, group finance templates and adhoc as required. Assist in the production of the annual Statutory Financial Statements for all companies within the group and assist in managing the year end consolidation process. Work with legal team and external advisors to ensure all CRO filing requirements are met. Help manage year end processes including preparation for Audit and acting as a key contact for the External Audit team. Maintain a working relationship with Irish revenue authorities to support VAT & Corporation tax compliance. Liaise with external parties/advisors including Internal & External Auditors, banks, tax authorities and tax advisors. Work with external tax advisors in the preparation of corporation tax returns. Contribute to the tri-annual re-forecasting and annual budgeting cycles, producing detailed, accurate plans for expense lines as required. The Person. To be considered, you will be a qualified Accountant with experience of working within a treasury/accounting role in a similar environment. You will also have: Good communication and networking skills across all levels in a matrix environment. Confidence, be a self-starter, and can operate in a dynamic environment. Good attention to detail, good judgement showing logical decision making and a hands-on approach. A proven ability to develop and improve working procedures and processes. Strong organisation and efficiency with ability to work under pressure, manage a diverse and competing workload ensuring deadlines are met. A flexible approach to your work, open to change and comfortable managing a constantly changing environment. A pro-active approach and the ability to anticipates issues. Good excel skills and solid understanding of accounting software principles. Knowledge of Coda, Cognos and/or Hyperion/Essbase packages and Oracle accounting packages. The Benefits.
