Quality Lead. Location: South Dublin. Salary: Neg DOE. Shift-hours: 7am-3pm & 3pm to 10pm, Monday to Friday. Reporting directly to MD. Our client, a progressive leader manufacturer of labelling and packaging for clients is seeking to hire an experienced Quality Control Lead reporting directly to the MD. You will take responsibility for overseeing the QC team (3-4 staff) and ensure compliance with the Quality Management System and other associated duties. The successful hire will have a hands-on approach to daily duties in respect of quality control and in conducting the Audits on behalf of the company with visiting clients / regulatory consultants etc., in addition to working to consistently meet customer, statutory and regulatory requirements. Detailed Responsibilities: Act as the main point of contact for Certification bodies and quality audits requirements in accordance with ISO9001, PS9000 and FDA standards. Apply a hands-on approach in managing Internal Audit procedures. Update compliance manuals, quality policies & procedures and providing internal training. Ensure a functioning team is in place with the appropriate structures established with documented clear lines of responsibility. Ensure that an appropriate QMS is in place for our client to achieve its obligations under ISO9001 PS9000 standard. Supplier management including audits and vendor assessments. Oversee and develop the team to ensure QC staff are adequately trained and cross trained to complete its function. This includes: Ensuring the appropriate and most efficient systems are in place for the QC team to carry out their duties in the most efficient manner. Ensuring all records are maintained, stored and disposed of in accordance with group policy. Identify areas for improvement and implements innovative solutions throughout the team. Monitor any areas of risks and tracks solutions through to completion and implementation. Regular reporting on the performance of the team and any key initiatives to drive improvement. Regular team meetings to both discuss and understand ongoing challenges and to ensure that there is a positive cohesive team spirit. Perform an annual review of the team and its effectiveness, documenting any concerns and including suggestions for improvement. Complete regular performance appraisals for your direct reports and ensure goals and objectives are set at least annually. Prepare and Issue Quality Reports. Docket check log updating. Audits and Audit procedures required. The Quality Manager is responsible for all audits including ISO standard audits, Customer audits and oversight of the internal audit plan. This will be the sole responsibility of the Quality manager. Provision of a culture of compliance and customer satisfaction to comply with the companies’ approach tom its QC Function. Ensure we have all the relevant procedural documentation for each client to effectively manage and develop our key clients. Actively drive and monitor our processes to ensure that we meet our internal workflow process, and anything identified by our customers. Maintenance of certain records as required by ISO standards and GDPR requirements and Training records, testing records.
