Key responsibility. PRODUCT DATA MANAGEMENT. Ensure that the data held for all live products. is complete and correct. meets legal requirements. supports an e-commerce platform. Work with the Warehouse Management System (WMS) team to ensure they have the data they need to unlock efficiencies within the warehouse. Ensure that product categorisation is in line with business requirements and meets the common standards. Ensure there are images, marketing descriptions and other data to drive the digital strategy and promote product via the website, customer specific web portals, Aps and social media platforms. Review product descriptions to maximise ease of recognition and the efficiency. SUPPLIER LIASION. Establish working relationships with those managing product data within each of our supplier's businesses. Ensure that a constantly open channel is in place with each supplier allowing to feed changes in product data or specifications through to the relevant teams within the business. Ensure that regulatory documents, e.g. health & safety data sheets for chemical products; proofs of composability of the product are methodically maintained. CUSTOMER LIAISON. Deal with all customer or sales team requests for product specification sheets. DATA AUDIT. Manage the data audit process and act on breaches of data integrity: identify the cause. engage with staff involved. change or amend processes where necessary. CATEGORY MANAGEMENT PROJECT. Work with Category Management Team and Marketing Manager on this project to organise our 4,000 product range into manageable categories with a good, better, best offering for each category. This project will: Rationalise the product range. Give a thorough understanding of each product and the job it does for the customer. Ensure that information to help the Sales teams sell product is collated and presented in a format that facilitates each sale. Required experience. A minimum of 1 year's work experience in a fast paced FMCG, distribution or manufacturing environment. Experience of working as a user of ERP data in an inventory / purchasing, finance or distribution role. Experience of working with numbers or data. Very strong Microsoft Excel skills. Demonstrates a high degree of attention to detail, thoroughness and a methodical and logical approach to work. Extremely methodical. Impeccable record keeper. Strong time management skills. Understands and respects the need for confidentiality over data and information. Demonstrates strong organisational skills and can prioritise own time. Accepts additional challenges and responsibilities willingly and assists others. Self-reliant. Experience of data analysis and reporting would be an advantage.
