Our client, a global hardware leader, is currently building a new software development team to join their R&D team in Dublin. As part of this team, we are seeking two Senior Software Engineers, capable of conducting high level software engineering work, without requiring detailed supervision, but with guidance provided on unusual features or on complex tasks. You will be reporting directly to the Software Team Lead, and will have support from a Principal Engineer, however this is a senior position, which will also include mentoring junior engineers, with some exciting R&D projects already pipelined. Requirements: A comprehensive understanding of software development techniques and practices. At least 5 years solid software engineering experience using C and ++ Solid experience with Python. Ability to work with and respond quickly to evolving requirements. Ability to work independently within a multi-disciplinary team of engineers and scientists. A good understanding of revision control concepts and practices, ideally with Git. Some experience with embedded systems. Desirable/Beneficial. Experience with Bash scripting. Experience with Subversion software. Experience with Linux. Experience using C# Experience using SQL. Experience developing effective Software Architectures.
