Tusla is the dedicated State agency responsible for improving the wellbeing and outcomes for children in Ireland. Tusla has responsibility for child welfare and protection services including family support in the community. In addition, Tusla has responsibility for victims of domestic, sexual or gender based violence and for some psychological and educational services. The Chief Executive is responsible for leading the Tusla Senior Management Team and plays a key role in continuing to lead the transformation of child and family services in Ireland. Working with key stakeholders the Chief Executive Officer will also play a key role in  developing the capability and capacity of the organisation to deliver better outcomes for children and families. The ideal candidate will have: • Significant strategic leadership experience in a senior leadership/management role in a large, distributed and complex organisation; • Experience of providing strong and demonstrable leadership in the development and implementation of strategies for transformational change and reconfiguration in complex environments, including the capacity to engage staff and drive cultural change and performance and service delivery improvement; • A proven ability to build constructive relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders and to work in partnership with other organisations to improve service quality and achieve optimum outcomes; • A proven track record of managing large budgets effectively and improving value for money, governance and accountability; • Deep understanding of the key objectives and range of services delivered by Tusla and a passion and commitment to provide the services required to improve the well-being and outcomes for children and families.
