Company/Culture. Rapidly growing, Multi-National Precision Measurement company in Dublin currently recruiting for a Tooling Designer for their rapidly growing Dublin facility. The company also have made a firm commitment to helping employees maintain a sustainable work-life balance which is borne out by their policies in relation to working after 6pm and making sure that everyone finishes early on Friday's etc. As Tooling Designer some of your key responsibilities will include. * Project managing all tooling activities & coordinate the manufacture, inspection, assembly & validation of the tooling. * Design requirements capture for the tool & generating innovative tool design concepts. * Coordinate the concept selection & managing tool design reviews with input from the stake holders. * Designing the tool in CAD (Siemens NX) & producing detailed component drawings. To hit the ground running in the Tooling Design Engineer role you will: * You will hold a degree in Mechanical Engineering (2:1 or above) and have 2 years' tool design experience. * You will be proficient with 3D CAD packages & producing detailed component and assembly drawings to technical drawing standards BS8888 or ISO 128. * You will have experience in selecting appropriate materials for manufacturing tooling & familiar with geometric tolerancing, tolerance stacks, limits and fits as well as having a good knowledge of manufacturing process and finishing technology.
