Head of Human Resources. Role Summary. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, hands-on, motivated leader who enjoys making a difference and improving their function. With a deep understanding of HR operational processes and their importance to the effective running of the business, you will have a strong understanding of all aspects of HR with a proven track record of leading and developing people. Strong credibility and presence is required to establish fruitful professional relationships and the expertise to influence and challenge when appropriate. You will know how to manage, lead and develop fellow HR professionals in order to build a high performing HR team. Key Responsibilities : Compensation & Benefits. Develop, standardise and implement modern C&B policies and processes. Develop the analytical capability of the HR team. Implement and leverage the new HR system. Manage the annual salary review, bonus & equity planning cycles to ensure timely and successful delivery. Ensure implementation and monitoring of appropriate performance management framework. Payroll & Pensions administration. Manage monthly payroll processing with outsourced payroll provider and ensure compliance with all SLA's. Conduct periodic payroll audits to ensure compliance. Employee relations /Industrial relations. Work with Collective bargaining groups to ensure harmonious relations and commercial resolution of any relevant negotiations including periodic collective bargaining agreements and annual pay negotiations. Act as Authorised officer on difficult grievance or disciplinary matters as requested. MI / Reporting and Budgeting. Manage and oversee HR Systems ensuring key information is readily available. Develop key organisational management information & analytics for the management team. Continuous improvement. Assess the effectiveness of all HR policies and processes and pro-actively recommend new and innovative approaches and solutions in accordance with applicable laws. Identify and manage projects as appropriate against established objectives, budgets, timelines, deliverables and quality standards. Interpersonal. Act with integrity and trust - model open and honest communication. Accountability - own the challenge and drive the solution. Lead a multidisciplinary team - developing the individuals and growing their capabilities. The ideal candidate will have: A third level qualification in a related area and ideally a post-graduate qualification in HR or similar. A minimum of 7 years track record with demonstrable HR career progression. A thorough knowledge of a retail financial services organisation is desirable. Deep Comp and Bens experience.
