FRS Recruitment require a Construction Estimator for a well established Irish Developer, listed in the Top 50 Construction CIF Contractors for a number of years. Our client would have a long history of high profile projects across the board with values from €5m to €100m. Job Purpose. Our client has a unique opportunity for a high calibre Construction Estimator, to assist in the provision of estimating services under the direction of a Commercial Director undertaking pre-contract duties. This role is diverse and will include interpreting information from live and completed projects along with the measurement of planned works to help robustly project construction costs for upcoming and prospective projects. It will also involve contributing to the decision making process driving key project decisions at various stages through acquisition and design development. The Role: Tender document control. Checking Bill of Quantities for accuracy and managing Bill of Quantity production on a Design & Build tender. Reviewing the Contract for each tender. Compiling, issuing and adjudicating subcontractor/supplier tender quotations. Preparing estimate Direct and Indirect Costs. Identifying, analysing and developing risk registers. Presenting estimates to the Board for review. Preparing tender and contract documents for submission. Requirements: Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying/Construction Management. 4-5 years' experience in Quantity Surveying/Estimating role. View to progression into Commercial Management roles. Ability to demonstrate building strong working relationships & stakeholder management. Good Level of legal awareness and competence in assessing Contract Documents and contract requirements. Proven track record working on projects over €10m. Excellent negotiation, analytical and problem-solving skills. High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
