The Department of Justice and Equality is responsible for public policy and administration in respect of justice; public safety; civil law; national security; equality and immigration issues. Reporting to the Deputy Secretary over Civil Justice and Equality, the Head of Operations & Service Delivery is a top level management position in the Department of Justice and Equality. The Head of Operations & Service Delivery will be responsible for planning, risk management, project & change management across the Civil Justice & Equality pillar. The Operations function will provide a focus on continuous improvement, and enable all other functions to operate effectively within a fast-paced and changing environment. The Service Delivery function will deliver efficient, robust and customer-centric frontline services for the Civil Justice & Equality pillar. The ideal candidate will have: • Excellent senior management and leadership experience in a multifunctional organisation of significant complexity and scale; • Extensive leadership experience in an operational area, including case management; • A strong understanding of service design and business process improvement; • Significant project management experience, including risk management and project reporting.
