Description

NPI - Operations Project Leader. In this role you will. Report to the Director of Engineering and be the lead for a new Operational project and all its' activities through timely planning, project management & communication. Ensure that Operations functional goals are delivered to the quality & time requirements. Work with other functional team members to own product & project deliverables as per project contract. Ensure key stakeholders are kept up to date & are aware of any issues, risks & mitigations. Responsibilities. You will :- Represent Operations function on project core team to deliver all industrialisation-related elements within this medical device project. Be accountable for overall industrialization success of product & successful NPI. Regularly check alignment to Target Product Profile, Capex budget & business case. Provide day-to-day oversight of the industrialisation aspects of product/ project. Actively participate in cross-functional planning & mgt. of the project, including integrated project plan. Develop operational strategies & gain functional buy in to project plans. Manage any project issues to successful close. Participate in product design definition throughout product lifecycle. Work with R&D Team Member to ensure alignment between product & process regarding DFX objectives. Lead process component of product risk mgt. & ensure that identified control measures are integrated into manufacturing process appropriately. Engage with functional mgt. to gain alignment on deliverables. Lead & provide direction to extended team members. Represent the operations function at NPD meetings. Carry out other relevant tasks as required. Education & Experience. A bachelor's degree in engineering or a science. A formal project mgt. qualification is expected also. Minimum of 7 years' experience within the medical device industry with operational exposure. Have strong product development experience in the medical device industry working with R&D to introduce new products. Have experience of automated equipment in a new product development environment. Be an excellent communicator & be comfortable presenting to senior mgt. Have ability to manage concurrent priorities. Great attention to detail & flexibility of approach. Work well as part of a team & be able to demonstrate ability to meet strict deadlines.
