Sigmar Recruitment have a fantastic opportunity with a Tech Giant based in South Dublin for a Big Data Dev to help build and maintain one of the world's largest data lakes. As well as getting to work on fantastic projects using a combination of AWS services and Apache Data projects, you'll gain some valuable experience on both established as well as new technologies. What you'll need: Minimum of 2yrs commercial coding experience. Strong commercial expereince with the implementation of enterprise level, complex projects. Minimum of 2yrs commercial experience with any of the following: Spark, Scala, Python, R. Experience in building and maintaining data pipelines from scratch. Experience working with Apache computing frameworkds like Spark, Kafka, Storm or AWS equivalent. Experience working within an Agile environment. Bonus points: Experience working with data stored in both relational and non-relational databases. Experience working with cloud technologies (preferable AWS. Experience with distributed systems principles including load balancing, networks, scaling, in-memory Vs disk. Exposure to machine learning, decision tree algorithms, neural networks.
