The Project Manager’s role is establish, implement, and control best practices for the management and execution of EPM projects. Using these best practices, the Project Manager will plan, execute, and finalise projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. This includes identifying resource requirements and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors in order to deliver projects according to plan. Duties: - Develop best practices, techniques, and tools for project planning, execution, management, ongoing milestone/deliverable tracking, communication, and key performance metrics. -Effectively communicate and manage project expectations to owners, sponsors, team members, and other stakeholders in a clear and concise fashion. - Manage EPM projects from beginning to end. o Establish and track project timelines and milestones/deliverables. o Develop full-scale project plans and associated communications. o Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team. o Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path. o Create status reports, analyse results, troubleshoot problem areas and mitigate project risks. - Draft project budgets and continually track spend against approved budgets. - Identify and manage project scope, dependencies & critical path and proactively manage project changes. - Maintain project artefacts and contribute to programme-level status reports and communications. - Conduct post-project reviews and identify successful and unsuccessful project elements. Experience. BA/BS in IT/Finance or a related field; 2-3 years project management experience. Strong familiarity with project management software. Project Management certification such as PRINCE2 is desirable. Knowledge of EPM and analytical reporting systems is desirable.
