The Public Appointments Service (PAS) is the centralised provider of recruitment, selection and assessment services to the Civil Service, Local Authorities, Health Service Executive and other public bodies. PAS also provides top quality people for consideration by Ministers for appointments to State Boards through the State Boards process. A vacancy now exists in PAS for the role of Psychologist. The successful candidate will be responsible for giving advice and support to the recruitment units on a diverse range of recruitment campaigns, and sharing professional expertise regarding the assessment process. S/he will have responsibility for regularly reviewing and updating selection systems and making the necessary adjustments and amendments to such systems. The successful candidate will have: • Detailed knowledge of the recruitment process/environment; • Knowledge and experience of psychometric tests, statistics, test scoring and on-line testing; • The ability to work as part of a high performing team providing support, advice and guidance to colleagues; • A Masters in Occupational/Organisational Psychology.
