Description

Supply Chain Manager - South Dublin. The main purpose of this role is to develop and drive the successful performance and strategic development of the Supply Chain; to drive the monitoring and reporting on supply chain metrics whilst implementing a proactive strategy to improve them, ensuring optimum balance between cost and customer service. Core Responsibilities: • Develop supply chain strategies to combine flexible, high levels of customer service at optimum cost, including development of. o Supply chain systems. o Procurement policies. o Global inventory storage and management. o Logistics. • Develop and implement a strategic plan to ensure secure supply of finished goods in multiple locations from global manufacturing facilities. • Influencing suppliers to create integrated supply chain solutions. • Identify, target and execute cost savings initiatives through vendor selection and management. • Contract negotiations with vendors and service providers. • Maximise cash holdings through efficient stock holding policies and credit terms. • Maximise stock turns while meeting performance criteria. • Management and development of 3rd party logistics operators to reduce spend and maximize efficiencies. • Responsible for supply chain budget in line with company targets. • Development of supply chain systems and operational processes and all aspects of performance measurement. • Management and development of supply chain personnel. • KPI Development and Management. Interested applicants should: • Ideally have a degree level qualification (not essential) and CIPS qualification or equivalent preferred. • Advanced knowledge and direct experience of: o Warehousing and distribution. o Freight. o Supply chain principles and processes. o Inventory management. o Sales order management. o Supply chain integration & design. • Track record in successful change management. • A good working knowledge and understanding of purchasing and logistics IT system(s)/ERP systems. • Evidence of development of robust Supplier Relationship Management processes post-contract and implementation of improvement/cost down initiatives. • Solid level of people management experience is essential.
