Senior Fashion Designer - Womenswear, north Dublin. Our client is one of Ireland's leading fashion designers/manufacturers to high street fashion retailers. They are looking for an experienced and commercial fashion designer who is looking for a new challenge. As their Womenswear Designer, you will interpret trends, developing them into commercial ranges that their Retail clients will want to order for the season ahead. Responsibilities of this Fashion Designer job: Liaise with high street buyers to discuss required briefs, trend direction and past sales performance. Identifying emerging trends and translating these into commercial winners which our customers will believe in. Knowledge and ability to translate catwalk ideas quickly. Work closely with customer, attending regular meetings, presenting your styles and developing ranges with their design teams. Produce detailed design sheets for our sample making team. Attend cloth & trimming sourcing trade shows in Europe and the Far East. Travel to fashion capitals for research, style development & comp shopping. Requirements of this Fashion Designer job: 4 years' experience in womenswear garment industry with fashion degree qualification. Excellent presentation and team work skills. Ability to work under your own initiative with good time management & organisational skills. Working knowledge of garment manufacturing techniques. Target driven with a passion for fashion with confidence to grow and develop. Workable knowledge of Photoshop / Illustrator. Salary: circa €35-40k DOE & benefits.
