Senior Buyer - Services. This is a key role in Strategic Sourcing to join a fast moving team. You will have responsibility for all external expenditure to provide leadership, delivering value, risk mgt. & regulatory compliance, via suppliers who provide or Professional Services to the organisation. You will manage the full lifecycle of third party services, from initial acquisition & sourcing & contract mgt. & add value to the business, ensuring compliance, minimising risk for all parties. You will :- Understand the spend profile across the relevant category, develop & maintain an ongoing category strategy, including current/future demand. manage sourcing strategies for all relevant 3rd party spend, aligned with business needs, sourcing & supplier development. methodologies. Deliver maximum value across all supplier relationships. Ensure all appropriate spend is sourced & managed in accordance with policies. Ensure risk is: fully quantified & managed via an appropriate assurance approach. Create & manage panels to allow flexibility to support the business for many services. Be a source of expert knowledge for existing supplier engagements & potential capabilities from supply market via networking/benchmarking. Project manage multiple sourcing initiatives & be able to cope with simultaneous demands from different areas. Build & maintain strong relationships at al levels of stakeholder. Establish cross functional teams to deliver/implement solutions. Reduce cost of existing sourcing & supplier services. Be looking at demand challenges, optimising joint process improvement, best price evaluation, low cost sourcing options & restructuring supplier relationships. Complete spend, total cost of ownership & opportunity analysis & present insights based on this analysis. Conduct periodic contract reviews with business owners, assess risk & develop negotiation opportunities. Compilation of data required to support Sourcing Strategies for complex Sourcing initiatives. You will have: Great commercial, interpersonal, negotiation & networking skills. Initiative - work on own initiative & develop strategies & be responsible for actions. Excellent project & change mgt. with proven ability to prioritise tasks. Strong communication (oral & written) skills with ability to understand & explain complex commercial arrangements. The ability to communicate at various levels of seniority on commercial & service issues. Strategic thinking with strong analytic skills & ability to develop & implement concepts. A minimum Leaving Certificate including a pass in English & Maths and ideally a degree &/or the IIPMM/CIPS qualification.
