Communications Co-ordinator. Business unit: Project Communications Location: Dun Laoghaire, Co Dublin. Reports to: Director of Project Communications. Who we are. We are currently recruiting a Communications Co-ordinator with 1-4 years’ experience to join our Project Communications team in 2020. Key Responsibilities. Research and draft content (in English) for information materials (web, brochures, videos) to make technical / environmental information interesting and accessible to a wider audience. Draft reports and meeting minutes. Support the team in proactively generating international media coverage on environmental issues. Event management support – source and book venues; represent clients at open days. Generate media and social media monitoring reports. Assist in managing campaign social media channels – Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram. Telephone promotion - selling-in stories to media and cold-calling stakeholders to promote initiatives. Undertake stakeholder mapping and manage stakeholder databases. Research and compile quality first drafts of articles, press releases, web text and brochures on environmental / climate change issues, for review. Contribute to generating international media coverage on environmental stories. Assist project managers as required. Skills and Abilities. Have exceptional written communications skills and fluency in English. Exhibit excellent interpersonal skills. Ability and willingness to work in a team, supporting clients and colleagues delivering projects. Ability to work on their own initiative as required. Strong interest in climate change, environmental issues, infrastructure projects and current affairs essential. Committed to detail and precision in all activities. Strong organisational and multitasking skills. Eager to learn and develop with a willingness to respond to constructive feedback. Have achieved a primary degree in Geography / Environmental Science / STEM subjects; further study in Marketing / Communications / Digital Marketing beneficial. Strong interest in pursuing a career communicating technical and environmental issues. Be competent in the MS Office suite of applications. Experience Required 1 – 4 years’ relevant communications experience on infrastructure projects / utilities / environmental awareness or STEM campaigns. Previous experience of customer care, communications, event management, or social media, including voluntary or part-time activities.
