Engineering Manager - Dublin. Job Summary: As a member of the Site leadership team, the Engineering Manager will report to the Site Director and be responsible for the following functions / teams: Facilities, Automation, Process, Tooling and Operational Excellence. Core Duties and Responsibilities: • Inclusively work with colleagues on site leadership team to execute on local and global objectives and strategies. • Lead a multi-disciplined Engineering team to deliver the highest standards in Engineering and Operational Excellence to ensure company and customer commitments are met / exceeded. • Ensure budgets and cost controls are effectively and transparently managed. • Support the Development Engineering team in the development, optimisation and implementation of new products, processes and technologies. • Responsible for maintaining the highest standards of facilities maintenance and security including all relevant safety and legislative compliance. • Liaise closely with global counterparts in sharing of best practices and standards. • Responsible for ensuring that all facility modifications / expansions are in accordance with legislative (e.g. safety) and ‘Best in Class’ designs. • Responsible for the identification and development of talent, including performance management, coaching and mentoring for high performance. • Promote and ‘walk’ the vision, mission and values of the company. Interested applicants should have: • A minimum of a degree in a relevant Engineering discipline e.g. Mechanical, Manufacturing, Polymer etc. • A leader with a minimum of 8 years' experience has led a multi-disciplined engineering team in a high-volume, highly-technical manufacturing environment e.g. high-speed automation, robotics etc. • Must have a proven track record of leading and implementing major business programs e.g. site expansions, new product introduction, technology advancement, Lean Sigma etc. • A leader who cultivates a culture of excellence, innovation and ‘can-do’ and who compliments team deficiencies as needs arise. • Interprets internal/external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes or services. • Builds and maintains strong relationships with customers, business partners, resource managers, and other global leaders. • Recognized by customers and colleagues as a leader who delivers on commitments and solves complex business challenges. • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Must be able to travel as required by the position. • Must be able to organize and prioritise tasks, must be detail orientated and self-motivated. Desirable: • Master’s degree e.g. Business, Manufacturing, Mechanical. • ‘Blackbelt’ Lean Sigma certified. • Operational experience within the Medical Device industry including FDA ‘Fronting’ experience. • Working knowledge of injection moulding and toolmaking or other fast-moving technological industries.
