Description

Vendor Supervisor. This global company's Procurement team provide a holistic procurement business solutions to the various global teams. You will be responsible for vendor & contract mgt. of existing & new deals, implementations & issue resolutions; having regular contact with the global team for succession planning. You would also manage some Junior Buyers. Key responsibilities you will have. * Ability to understand & interpret contracts. * Build key vendor relationships. * Categorise vendors according to classification (strategic/tactical/legacy/emerging. * Review & understand vendor financial status (reading & interpreting financial statements. * Create internal guides to contracts for Procurement & other stakeholders. * Ability to build, implement & maintain relevant & impactful vendor mgt. programs. * Remotely manage implementation of contracts in line with negotiations. * Monitor KPIs against envisioned state & adjust where necessary. * Be point of contact for complaints/issues & work with internal client & vendor to resolve. * Track savings & cost avoidance, dealing with financial planning & forecasting. * Maintain staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, & training employees; developing personal growth opportunities. * Coaching, counselling, & disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, & appraising job results; conducting training; implementing enforcing systems, policies, & procedures. * Maintain safe & healthy work environment by establishing & enforcing standards; adhering to legal regulations. * Complete operations by developing schedules; assigning & monitoring work; gathering resources; implementing productivity standards; resolving operations problems; maintaining reference manuals; implementing new procedures. Required Skills/Experience. * Minimum 2-4 years' exp. * Keen eye for detail, sound financial knowledge, data analytical skills, communication & problem solving. * Good communicator - Customer focused - * Previous experience of working in a fast paced procurement env. * Highly organised; can prioritise tasks. * Can build effective working relationships. * Awareness of regulations & legislation. * A proven team player with strong analytical skills & attention to detail. * Completely literate in English & another language ideally. Qualifications & Certifications. * Educated to degree level or equivalent.
