Production Manager (food sector. Our client seeks a commercially-focussed Production Manager who will be responsible for. the day to day management of the Meat Hall, while actively supporting a dynamic sales team. The. Production Manager will also be accountable for compliance to all Health & Safety Standards and for. ensuring that all Meat Hall output at the Dublin Distribution Centre is exactly as specified by customers. Core Duties, Responsibilities, and Requirements: • Commercial mindset and appropriate product knowledge. • Analyse sales, marketing, finance and ad hoc reports to gain insights into how to improve. performance and maximise growth. • Assess risks involved with new initiatives, ensure deadlines are met and be ready to handle unexpected situations. • Collaborate with Sales and Operations to introduce new ways of working to improve the efficiency of the store. • Present to customers on and off-site on specifications of all available meat cuts and participate in and attend exhibitions and foods shows as required. • Deliver the budgeted KPI plan for the department and any subsequent forecasts. • Prepare a proposal in relation to the potential expansion of the Meat Hall product portfolio to include production of ‘value add products’ • Manage daily operations of the Meat Hall including compliance, employee training and development & production planning. • Monitor the quality and safety of the food product produced within the Meat Hall. • Manage the sales targets, stock control and budget of the meat hall. • Ensure all internal and external audits and inspections are carried out, managed and documented, and records are maintained in accordance with site and auditing standards. • Carry out product and process inspections and assessments. • Provide excellent customer service. Interested applicants should be: • An experienced Production Manager with experience in master / craft butchery. • Sales/commercial experience within the meat production industry, with a proven track record in. understanding customer and business requirements. • Proven ability to maintain and develop effective relationships both internally and externally. • Knowledge of recognised food standards and regulatory requirements. • Experience of implementing food safety and quality procedures & policies. • Proven leadership, influencing and negotiation skills with the ability to successfully manage and develop large teams. • A highly motivated and ambitious individual who is flexible and adaptable. • A Manager who demonstrates integrity and accountability. • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.
